What will the results indicate?
The results of a routine DNA paternity or maternity test will indicate probability of parentage of either 0.00% or 99.99% on average. The results of a DNA kinship test will depend on the amount of DNA that is shared between the tested parties and the frequency of that shared DNA in the general population. These results vary from case to case.

Will the results be accepted in a legal matter?
As long as the chain of custody of each sample tested is secure, the DNA results should be accepted in all legal matters.

How soon are the results available?
Once the Orchid Cellmark lab has received the sample, the analysis will typically be completed in 5 business days, although depending on the complexity of the case or the condition of the samples, it may take longer.
