What will the results for a paternity or maternity test indicate?
The results will provide a probability of maternity or paternity of either 0.00% or 99.9% or greater. For a more detailed interpretation of the results, please click here.

What will the results for the Guatemala 2nd test indicate?
The 2nd test for the child will include the specimen collection dates for the 1st and 2nd appointment, the profile of the child and a conclusion indicating if the child's 1st and 2nd profiles were the same.

Will the results be accepted in I-600 Petitions?
As an AABB-accredited laboratory, Orchid Cellmark results are accepted by both the Department of State and the Department of Homeland security in I-600 petitions.

How will the results be sent?
The results of an adoption case will be sent to the adoption agency, adoption attorney and US Embassy (if applicable) by courier. This service is included in our fee.

In a Guatemalan case, are your results authenticated?
Yes, Orchid Cellmark notarizes all reports and then has them authenticated by the State of Michigan before they are sent to the US Embassy in Guatemala. The results for the 2nd test for the child are notarized but not authenticated as this is a requirement of the Department of State and not of the Guatemalan government.
